Don't you? Why in hell I went to the Liberty Street store, when I have one in my neighborhood that I detest just as passionately I'll never know. Maybe it was Hubby's gentle coaxing, or maybe it was because after almost 6 hours uptown, I had not purchased so much as a Metrocard, ( I couldn't believe it myself) and I was/am in need of some psychologically sustaining retail therapy. I hate myself still, even 7 hours later, for stepping foot into that swap meet disguised as a department store.

If you don't know what a Century 21 is - don't worry - you're not missing a damn thing, unless you count reject poly-blend sportswear and eurotrash dresses that were made for devotees of The Rocky Horror Picuture Show, (and which incidentally didn't sell at Last Call - and as a matter of fact - were priced for less at our trusty Last Call) your cup of tea. If some, if not most, of your wardrobe is a-la Kohl's or Target, then this is your eastside Mrs. Jefferson - you're movin' on up. By all means, if this description sounds like you, run don't walk there - you'll feel like you're on your own personal Rodeo Drive, minus the style, replete with a housewares department.

I think, no wait, I know that I hate Century 21 even more than Loehmann's. And while I'm in bitch-mode, don't even get me started on Filene's Basement, Century 21's less chaotic but nonetheless painfully unattractive styleless twin.

On a happier note, I did buy the new grey Bailley 44 dress from Lord and Taylor on Friday. It was under $200 with coupon, how could I resist? Check in tomorrow for pics of this funky little number.

Yes, I am now a size 6, girls!!! I will try to post some pics as soon as I can. Did I tell you? I'm baaaaaaaaaack! And my shopping has now taken on a whole other dimension. Spaghetti strap dresses!!! I can wear those. Strapless? I can wear those too!! Halter dresses? No problem a little backless Le Mystere and some duct tape won't fix!! Bikinis? I have one for every day of the week. Each one sexier than the last. This past Wednesday I bought a size 4 gaucho. Yippee for me!!! It's like I'm dreaming or in some parallel universe. Either way, keep me here. Any of you girls ever been approached by quiet possibly one of the hottest men on the east coast, via an intermediary,(because Cupid's arrow has never hit him like this before) ahem, my brother - just to let you know, how captivated he is by your absolute loveliness? Oh, did I happen to mention this is a textbook model of male perfection from head to sexy toes? The only bad part of my new size? All those size 12's from last season, that I've been practically giving away. Talk about taking a loss.

PRADA I HATE YOU AND I ALWAYS HAVE

These shoes suck. I hadn't noticed that the upper strap was made entirely of elastic or I wouldn't have ordered them. That GORGEOUS elastic strap isn't even disguised by patent leather, it's just there for the whole world to think that you're wearing a pair of $49.99 shoes. The audacity of Prada. See, I told you that I don't like Prada and their cheap ways (just their beachy flip-flops). Their cheap nylon bags are an insult to anyone with real style and their shoes look worse than a pair of Payless'. Prada you ruined my day yesterday with your sorry excuse for high end shoes. But I guess the joke was on me because I was lured into this purchase by the matching bag.

I'm SURE that these shoes will have an honorary place in the pile of rejects going to Last Call.

Not that I need to say this, but I returned those shoes (and bag).

All 3 dress TOTALED under $550.00. Yipeee!!!! Now let's see what they're like when I get them in my hands. Maybe the quality will be like crap, since they're so inexpensively priced . I think that I've mentioned this before, but I don't normally order dresses, (or much of anything lately) from Nordstrom because the quality of most of their merchandise, (excluding premier designers) has been very poor. Therefore, I'm not holding my breath for any of these dresses.

The Adrian Papell dress at $218.00 total for both the sweater and the dress just screams poor craftsmanship, but hey, I like to gamble so I've rolled the dice. As I've written about in previous posts, I find that you get what you pay for. Put two similarly styled shoes next to one another and I'll tell you which one is the cheap-o. Put two similarly styled pants next to one another and I'll do the same. I mean I don't even have to touch this stuff, I can spot it from across a room. To make a long story short, I could honestly care less if these pieces work out. I just purchased a few dresses from Neimans and from Saks the other day, that I love so basically I went to Nordstrom today because I've already purchased the latest arrivals from Neimans and Saks that I find appealing. And for now, there's nothing in those stores that I want.

Nordstrom is like the back-up boyfriend that you keep on the side when the one you really want cancels.

Equal one heck of a good time!!! Seven days of a good time to be exact. We just returned yesterday on the red eye and we're counting the days until we go back! I did get to shop in between playing. I bought some double layer t-shirts at Chico's. Another bag and matching shoes at Gucci, (the dark silver bag and btw, if it weren't for the matching shoes I wouldn't have bought that bag). A few dresses at BCBG and three bags. A few things at Tommy Bahama. A few dresses from Michael Kors. A few sweaters from Tahari. Some cosmetics and such from the spa. A few shirts for hubby from Kenneth Cole. How much did I win you say? Let's just say, I'm only back to regroup and to find my, "ness" as my brother's girlfriend had strongly advised.

Note to Sister: I'm back. I've regrouped. I've found my, "ness" again as you say. I hate to be the one to burst your bubble, but you can forget that idea of yours about us going into that pit of snakes without either of our big strong men accompanying us. You know they (your man/my brother) would never allow that.

I purchased a new merino wool boat neck sweater from Tahari. A pair of low waist crop leg pants from Chico's and two shirts. A new brown purse from Gucci, (it's like a clutch but with a thin handle).

We may go back again this weekend.

Okay, so I got more than one free gift from Estee Lauder. Actually I got 5 free gifts from Estee Lauder (see above pic), since that's what I qualified for. From Dior I purchased 4 DiorShows and got 3 free pink Dior bags as one gift, (to get a gift with Dior just spend $100 or more). Yipee for me!!! I love free gift time!!!!! Oh, and I almost forgot I also got a free eyeshadow from Bobby Brown. Thank God that my brother drove and waited right outside the door for me, I have some slight bruising on the crook of my arm from carrying so many Neimans bags. Plus I'm getting sick of valeting.

A-ROD DAY 2

This was yesterday at the A-Rod game. We went on Tuesday as well. We may go again tonight. Tonight would be part 3 for us. A-Rod please hit this ball tonight.

Despite A-Rod not delivering number 500 yesterday, we were treated to an unexpected surprise. First a few background notes. Jeter was supposed to have, an "off" yesterday as per Joe Torre's request for a 2-day rest period. Then all of a sudden in I forget what inning, you hear R. Kelly and Snoop Dogg's, THAT'S THAT SHIT. Just like that. No announcement, no nothing. And out comes New York's favorite shortstop and resident partier, Derek Jeter. The place went wild when everyone heard Jete's anthem and went even more wild with visual confirmation at the plate!!!! Here's how it went: Out comes Jeter with his little bad-ass strut magnified even more by Torre's special request to nix his day-off status and his very special surprise to the 52,000+ at the stadium who found out that he was back in the game by, "In the spot where the girls go wild. Dancing video style. I'm like That's that shit. Snoop Dizzle - hey Your boy Kells - boy Let me hear you say - That's that shit". I have a feeling that Bob Shepherd was told to sit this one out, and let R. Kelly and Snoop announce that Jeter was in the game, rather than the traditional, "And now hitting, the shortstop, number 2 Derek Jeter". Hey Derek, we LOOOOOOOOOOOVE your roll!!! But I digress.

A-Rod disappointedly and perhaps expectedly folded under yesterday's pressure to hit number 500. Bases loaded in the third inning. Following back to back homeruns. A- Rod had many perfect opportunities. Poor A-Rod just couldn't take the pressure. But please, come on A-Rod, I love you, but I'm getting a little sick of going to J.Lo's old stomping grounds almost everyday this week. Tuesday, Thursday and quite possibly tonight. That would make 3 days of going into the Bronx. Three days of dressing very unfashionista, unless you consider someone wearing an unbuttoned number 23 jersey, a tank top and shorts a fashionista. Since we're sitting in left field AGAIN and paying out the nose tonight AGAIN (probably), would you please hit this ball directly into my brother or my husband's hands so that:

a. we get paid

b. there is minimal injury to either brother and/or husband when a band of hungry Yankee fans descend upon their unmuscular bodies in an attempt to steal the $500,000, I mean the ball.

And his name is Hubby. Between this dress and the Versace that I just preordered, I'm positive this man is going to impose a limit on my Amex. Oh, but I couldn't resist. I mean who could? I should say what real fashionista could?

I should start off with, " Hey! I saved us $10.00 today!" (free shipping)

Then again, maybe it won't fit well or look good. As an avid shopper of designer apparel, I can tell you that the only way that this dress won't look good is if it doesn't fit. You get what you pay for. If you wear a $12.00 dress it's going to look like you're wearing a $12.00 dress. If you wear a $1200.00 dress it's going to look like you're wearing a $1200.00 dress.

Please let this fit. I wouldn't have gone into typical vacation gorging mode had I noticed this dress on the BG website earlier . Thank God this place wasn't wasn't all-inclusive. Then again, it might as well have been.

--We thought that Taxi Ray Spokesman's comment to Saturday's post on Ray Kottner deserved to be a post all its own. Thank you Taxi Ray Spokesman for reporting the truth. (original comment found under Bergdorf Goodman post 7/17/07) --

The claims by a lobbyist group for the Taxi Owners and of the writer of a free taxi industry rag that this 81 year old man giving free late night rides to those who can't normally afford a taxi is "stealing" their business, is akin to restaurant owners crying that the free soup kitchen is stealing their customers. The people involved should be ashamed. The statement by the Taxi Owner's lobby does not even pretend to have the public interest in mind.The clubhouse politicians in their TLC patronage jobs are no better. Just smarter in their wording. There is a huge monetary incentive for the TLC enforcement officers to lie, and for the TLC hearing officers to wrongfully fine Ray Kottner. According to the NY Post, the TLC admits they will use $185 of the $1685 Ray Kottner must give them for release of his vehicle to pay the TLC Agent who seized Kottner's vehicle. Supposedly this money compensates the Agent for driving the car 10 blocks to the pound. It is nothing more than paying the agents "commissions" for seizures. The TLC did not seize the car to "protect the public." They will release the car as soon as Ray Kottner pays them for its release. The additional $1500 must pay over the "commision" to the TLC Agent is an "advance deposit" for fines that have not yet been levied by hearing officers who have not yet heard the case. (Say what?) Such is justice in Bloomberg's NYC. Why do I get the feeling that after Ray Kottner has his "fair hearing" he will be fined exactly $1500 by the "impartial" hearing officer.The fines, of course, will help pay the exorbitant salaries of the politicians in TLC patronage jobs. It reminds me of the justice meted out by the small town Southern judges and police who feed their families from the improper fines for fictitious violations that they levy against motorists passing through.

... earlier this afternoon. I ordered a few things, I'll post pics later tonight. I'm taking my car in tomorrow to the dealer to have a once-over before I go away. This dealership is being kind enough to squeeze me in very last minute as they're fully booked until the following week. I love this dealership. They're always so accommodating. Very respectful. They even tell you that you may keep your loaner car, (which btw happens to be the same brand car as the one that you drive, no Hyundai or Kia loaner from them - no way) for as long as you want, drive it as far as you need to, never any questions asked. Two years ago we purchased two his and hers vehicles from this dealer's competitor and the customer service was the exact opposite. Two cars, that's purchased and not leased or financed, and when we would take our car(s) in for the recommended maintenance, (actually we even took the cars to this dealer for oil changes) we would never even receive a loaner, no matter how long they would have to keep the car. It turned out that my husband's car had inherent problems with the computer system that couldn't be repaired, so we were covered under the lemon law. That same day that we returned my husband's car, we went over to this other dealer and we haven't looked back since. As a matter of fact, we're thinking, actually we're positive, that due to their award-winning customer service we will absolutely purchase our next car from them. They're such a wonderful car dealership that we suggested to our tenants, a lovely Manhattanite DINK, (that coincidentally have quite a great deal in common with us) to look into a purchase from this dealership. They ended up purchasing their new vehicle from this dealer as well. They've had they're new car for approximately one year and they feel the same way, their next car is coming from our favorite dealer as well, as they've had nothing but pleasant experiences with them. Quite the opposite from their last dealer, who charged them for a loaner.

Anyway, the point of this post was to let everyone know that I will posting very late tomorrow evening.

But let me tell you that I HATE to travel during the summer months, however since my brother is an educator, this is really the only time that we can get away. Yes, he has very short breaks in between the school year but he works for one of the best school districts in the country, and there is always some mandatory conference or another that he must attend that gets in the way of any travel plans. So off we go this Friday for 7 days or 9 days, I can't remember. The other reason for this post is to remind readers to shop through your preferred airlines' website to earn valuable miles/points, (whatever it's called). I'm ashamed to say that I'm still not practicing what I preach. But not to worry, I've printed out a list of AA shopping sites that I am sticking to my laptop. I'm done not getting miles for all of the shopping that I do online. Everytime that I remember that I should be shopping via AA instead of directly through the Neiman's or Saks websites, I feel disgusted with myself. No more.

Do you think they're the epitome of narcissism? I'm not talking about blogs that state without a photograph, I wore this this and this today. Nor am I referring to blogs who's writer lays out that day's attire across their bed and photographs it to post to her blog later. What I'm referring to is the narcissistic need for some bloggers to post a photograph of themselves EVERYDAY under the guise of, "What I'm Wearing Today." Here's my two cents:

1. If you were the MOST ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS TRENDSETTER in the world, then I would be seeing your picture on the cover of US Weekly or on PEOPLE's 50 Most Beautiful People in the World.

2. If you were such a DROP-DEAD STUNNING FASHIONISTA, then you would have paparazzi hiding out behind your chaise in order to catch another perfect photograph of you, you wouldn't have to take your own photo of how FABULOUS you are.

3. Your poor husband, boyfriend, parents or life partner that have to go through life with a self-centered delusional such as yourself. I feel so badly for them.

4. IF you can not control the urge to post photos on your blog of how uncute you are in your new outfit today, then please please please don't advertise to the world that you're rocking an outfit from Walmart, KMart or any other store that ends in, "Mart". Fashionistas do not shop at __mart.

And please get here before we leave on Wednesday morning. I need the beautiful kooba that I ordered, the two pieces of David Yurman, and whatever else I found while I was on the phone with your operator. From past experience I can say, that I'm not holding my breath that this package will be on my doorstep by the time we depart on Wednesday. Oh, I just remembered, I again ordered some more dresses last Tuesday in addition to the above. I just couldn't help myself. Actually, Neiman's should give that operator who was assisting me a raise because thanks to her patience I shopped more. Now I'm really getting anxious. I need that delivery!!! I want to take my goodies with me on my little extended weekend!!! Grrrrrrr Neiman's, why does it take you about a week just to get things shipped out of your warehouse? A day or two isn't enough time to package my order and send it on its merry way? Give me a break.

Yesterday's shopping went well. I purchased two pairs of sunglasses, a watch, some Argento Vivo and a few Givenchy pieces for some upcoming engagements that we have on the horizon. Surprisingly, or maybe not so surprisingly considering all of the sales, I didn't purchase any clothing, it seems like everyone has just devoured all of the pretty pieces.

Oh, well today is another day, and to borrow a phrase from the NY or NJ lottery, you gotta be in it to win it. So off I am to shower and shop, err work. I meant to say work.

Eight in total. Four BCBG dresses, one Calvin Klein, one Kay Unger, one Chetta B, one Nicole Miller. PAYDIRT! I love buying dresses! The only one that is not as practical as a day into evening dress would be the Kay Unger as it red and the style of the dress is slightly more formal than the others. I can't wait to wear them all! If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times, dresses are so easy to wear. Just slip it on, put on a good pair of shoes and you're ready to go. No fumbling around, changing outfits one million times, because something, "just doesn't look right". In the summer months you simply put on a pair of casual and trendy wedges for a day look and in the evening all that you have to do is put on a sexy little open toed pump for a more elegant look. In the winter a stacked heel boot always goes from day into evening quite nicely. If it were up to me, I would live in dresses. What about you? Do you love dresses too?

Aren't they pretty? I went to the Gucci boutique yesterday with my mother thinking that I wasn't going to find anything that I liked, and look what I found. And you won't believe what I paid for them!!!!!!!!! Ready? $159.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, that's right, and I WASN'T shopping at no Gucci outlet either. I was at the Gucci boutique. The regular retail price on my shoe box reads $794 or $798 if I remember correctly. Then apparently they were marked down to just under $400.00. When I found them yesterday the price read $159.00 and I did a double take then quickly told the salesgirl that I would take a pair in the white in a size 8. They also had a pair in brown, but since I just very recently purchased 2 pairs of Stewart Weitzman wedges both in brown, I decided that adding a third brown strappy wedge was not the way to go.

What an unexpected and delightful find!

WSOP UPDATE & SHOPPING UPDATE

First, I'm going to update on Brother's status in the WSOP tournament. There were 3000 players at the start of today's tournament, now going into the second half of the day there are approximately 500 players remaining, one of who is Fashion Plus Jewelry's little brother, well at almost one foot taller than yours truly, I can't really use the word little anymore to describe him.

According to Brother, he's made some, "sick" calls. Calling one all-in bluff after another. The tournament has just broken for a 90 minute dinner recess, and Not-So-Little-Brother, sounds as if he snorted a line a coke, but he didn't, he's just high off of poker. Phil Helmuth, Clonie Gowen, Jimmy Tran, Jennifer Tilly, Kenna James, Phil Lakk, Phil Gordon, Shannon Elizabeth and Antonio Esfandiari can be counted among the 2500 players who didn't make it to the second half of the tournament. But guess what, FPJ's brother is still in!

To go into great detail regarding today's shopping expedition seems pointless after talking about my brother and his continued and hopefully long life in the WSOP, so here are just a few highlights from today's fashionista adventures:

JEWELRY SHOPPING AND WSOP

So, I purchased some jewerly today, a few bracelets and a pair of earrings to be exact. I purchased two Monet bracelets and one Givenchy bracelet, naturally they were not on sale. One of the Monet bracelets is made of rhinestones as is the Givenchy. The other Monet is a casual bracelet, but just as pretty. I also purchased a pair of Monet loveknots that are 18ktp for my mother's, "I can't go, I can't find my loveknots!" moments that are quite frequent. I was in the mood to purchase some other pieces but alas, that was not in the cards for me today, so I hopped in the car to go to Neiman's, Hubby needed a new pair of swimming trunks.

At Neimans I found a wonderful selection of long and short trunks for my dear Hubby. I purchased two pairs of the Ralph Lauren trunks in different sizes since I don't know for certain which one will fit him. Should they both fit, perhaps he'd like to keep them both, besides it would save him from having to make a return.

Tomorrow, we're going to John F. Kennedy International Airport bright and early. Brother and his girlfriend are off on a romantic 13-day romp to the gambling capitol of the world, Las Vegas, and we're fortunate enough to have to take them both to that very out of the way airport, instead of the perfectly lovely international airport that we have but a mere 10 minutes from our home in the suburban northeast. I know what you're thinking. Thirteen days? That's too long to spend in Vegas! You just try explaining that to this pair of young poker-playing lovebirds with dreams of winning big and see if they'll listen. Both Brother and his other half have registered for the WSOP, (World Series of Poker)for those of you who who are not familiar with this acronym.

As when any member of our family leaves our home if for even a 10 minute run to the supermarket, calling home is a requirement. Assuredly, I can tell you that this cross country trip for Mama's little baby bird is no exception. I'll be sure to keep you abreast on any breaking news that we hear from our sibling male fashionista as soon as it develops. Additionally, I would like to add that I don't encourage or promote excessive gambling which is exactly what is about to take place less than 24hrs from now. I do however promote fashion at any venue. That's why Brother has been outfitted with a whole new wardrobe for this little excursion. No, I will not give a crackhead crack, an alcoholic a glass of whiskey, or a gambler gambling money. I will however make certain that every member of my family is stylish and fashion forward, no matter how wretched the individual, (promiscuous, back-stabbing, blond-headed cousins take note).

NORDSTROM L.A.M.B SHOPPING

So, I got lazy today. Shoot me. I've had a very busy weekend. And because of that, I stayed home today. But I did manage to order some L.A.M.B - For those of you that don't know what I am talking about L.A.M.B stands for LOVE ANGEL MUSIC BABY and it is Gwen Stefani's clothing and accessory line.

I didn't order too many pieces because quiet honestly I don't walk around in sweats and tees. I'm a fashionista. But, since I'm a member of a co-ed health club, I find myself in the unenviable position of caring about what I wear to go work out. Oh how I long for the days of my all female gym. But alas, that gym and I are history as is the ex-boyfriend who gifted me the long-term membership only to later stop paying my dues when we parted ways. Why oh why don't I live near a womens only gym? But I digress, let me tell you why I ordered these tees.

First let me start off by saying, that I don't believe for a second that anyone is looking at me as I sweat like a pig with no makeup and my hair up in a bun as I painstakingly try to convince my gelatin-like legs that increasing the speed on my treadmill by another 1mph for one more excruciating mile uphill is going to make any difference on my figure, nevertheless I still feel just a touch self-conscious. Again, I am keenly aware that there are far skinnier and far prettier than I at my gym, but I still can't help caring about the way I look while there. When I was a member of an all female gym, it was much different. ANY old ratty shirt, that made me look about 70 pounds heavier than I actually was would do just fine, I mean ANY old ratty shirt. Thank God that this gym does not offer cardio classes of any kind, because I could not imagine taking an advanced aerobics class in front of dozens of gawking male eyes as my bouncing oversized breasts give the incorrect appearance of being braless. Since, I have at least for the moment, no other alternative than to continue however infrequently to patronize Co-ed Gym, I must submit to the pressures of this, (I say this jokingly of course) unjust society. Hence the L.A.M.B wear. Again, this is just for the gym.

Over $500 later, I doubt that I will feel any less self-conscious about exercising in front of the opposite sex the next time that I try to do a 20 minute walk-run with alternating hills.

SWEATER SETS, BOBBI BROWN, JEWELRY

That's basically what I bought today. A black BCBG sweater set, Bobbi Brown tweazers, (they were for Mom as I somehow lost hers)2 Bobbi Brown eyeliners in the little jar, ( I can't remember it's proper name) and 2 eyeliner brushes. I also bought some jewelry. I bought a hammered gold bracelet, a DKNY wide rhinestone studded watch, (for nights out), and a pair of Argento Vivo earrings. All in all a pretty good day. I wish that I could have shopped more, but I had to go home to get ready for my date with Hubby. The salesgirl at the Bobbi Brown counter said that the eyeliner that she recommended and that I subsequently purchased was smudge-proof and won't rub off during the day. I'll let you know what I think of this new eyeliner in the coming week. In her words, "You could swim with this and it won't come off." We'll see. I have decided to switch from using the Estee Lauder liquid eyleliner in the nailpolish-like bottle. I love Estee Lauder, but I hate the way that their liquid eyeliner completely disappears after only a few short hours and having to reapply the eyeliner 3 times a day. Hopefully the BB stuff will turn out to be just what I'm looking for.

SATELLITE PARTY ON CARSON DALY

If you didn't catch Satellite Party on Carson last night you missed one masterpiece of a performance. Call NBC and get a copy of last night's show, because Satellite Party is the best band around anywhere. The energy conveyed from Perry and the rest of the Satellite Party gang as they rocked Carson's stage was E-L-E-C-T-R-I-C! I was at home in my comfy, yet sexily fashionista, Hello Kitty spaghetti strap top and shorts pajama set and yet I literally felt like I was in the front row.

Perry as usual was everything that we know and love. Exuberant, sexy, and nothing short of perfect as he mesmerized Carson's audience, (actually Satellite Party's audience, because by the sounds of the screams from awestruck fans it didn't take much to know who that audience was there to see, sorry Carson sweetie)with his positively poetic lyrics. Do you really think that it's a coincidence that Perfection is spelled P-e-r-r-y?

To Perry's immediate right was Carl Restivo. I have one word to describe Carl - HOT. Attention Ford Models,Inc: We have your new blond Adonis! But Carl isn't just some pretty face, he has talent with a capital, "T". Carl is Flea, Les Claypool, and Geddy Lee all rolled into one big sizzling hot package. Carl's vocals were the perfect compliment to Perry's. I can see why Carl is such a coveted bassist and why he has played with such artists as Wycleff Jean, DJ KNS and Extreme. Speaking of Extreme, let's talk about some Nuno.

Nuno Bettencourt, co-producer on Ultra Payloaded, was to Perry's left. Nuno is the sultriest guitarist that I have ever laid eyes on. Maybe it's because he has classic bad boy looks. Maybe it's because no-one can come close to Nuno on the guitar. Maybe its because that perfectly synchronized deep voice of his is what makes the ladies still cry over him, a decade after EXTREME. And allow me to assure you this, there is no difference between the Nuno then and the Nuno now, it's as if time has stood still for Nuno. He still makes the ladies want surrender to his unmatched musical talent and bad-?#!looks.

Etty Farrell, a triple threat with her beauty, dancing ability, and vocals was positioned directly behind Perry. The old adage is so true and quite evident here. Behind every man is a good woman. Rock on sister!

Last, but not at all least, was Kevin Figueiredo in the back on drums, his presence every bit Oz-like. Although I did not have my surround sound turned on so as not to wake the neighbors, Kevin made me reconsider not using my wireless headphones as he mastered every beat, making each one sound as if I were lucky enough to be right there in the audience. I may require the using of an assisted hearing device from now on, but I don't care. Kevin's rugged profile not only makes me forget about my new hearing loss, it makes me want to see more of him, NOW.

Make sure that you don't miss the next few nights of Satellite Party on NBC's Last Call with Carson Daly. I'm certain that after turning down the lights and shutting off your TV you'll have very pleasant dreams.

First, I'd like to start off by saying, "Thanks Mom!!!" to my wonderful mother who bought these items for me today at SFA. Mother has great taste and is the quintesential fashionista. Mom didn't see anything that she liked today at Bloomie's, despite the coupon, so we headed over to Saks. Mom spotted a pair of SFA pants for me and an Ellen Tracy blazer. The pants fit beautifully and the Ellen Tracy blazer was of course, perfect. We also picked up some more shirts for Hubby, and Dad. Hubby loves the pocketed long sleeved RL button down shirts for his business casual office, and as an obedient God-fearing wife, I picked up just what he had requested. Mom purchased a SFA round-neck blouse for herself along with some new lingerie,(but not the sexy kind). I also managed to purchase a pair 18kt loveknot earrings for myself for those days when I need to be conservative. The loveknots are not small, but they are not long. The sit right on the tip of my ear covering most of that area. All in all a very fun shopping day.

SATELLITE PARTY AT XM AND HIGHLINE BALLROOM

I'm sooo sorry for the long delay between posts, I had an extremely busy last week. As you all know, last Sunday I went to XM radio's recording of Satellite Party on Artist Confidential. The recording took place on the fifth floor of the jazz building on Columbus Circle. Being part of such a small audience, (under 100 guests) to see Satellite Party perform is an absolutely memorable experience. It's even more amazing when your friend is a member of the band.

The format of the show was a seven song set with Q & A in between songs. Perry and the band started off the evening by playing, "KINKY" from their new album entitled, "Ultra Payloaded". This first song was followed by a few questions from George Taylor Morris. After Perry cheerfully answered George's questions the band played, "INSANITY RAINS". I can honestly say, and I NEVER say this, that I love all of the songs on this CD however, "INSANITY RAINS" is my absolute favorite. Perry was kind enough to explain the storyline behind the concept album, which had everyone in the audience riveted. Perry is that rarest breed of genuinely friendly celebrity, gifted artist and performer that is just about unheard of today. Next, came "HARD LIFE EASY" which made some Satellite Party fanatics compete over who the bigger groupie was via a, "HARD LIFE EASY"/Satellite Party/ Perry/ Nuno/Carl/Kevin inspired dancing trance. Perry then cordially answered a question from an audience member. "WISH UPON A DOG STAR" "MILKY AVENUE" and "ONLY LOVE, LET'S CELEBRATE" followed with the audience on the edge of Satellite Party ecstasy as Perry, Nuno and Carl punished those mics, and guitars. I didn't think it could get any better or the fans any more jubilant until the band broke into Jane's Addiction's "STOP". That's when pandemonium hit, heads banging standing room only pandemonium.

Hubby and I hung around to meet up with our friend as the crowd departed. We chatted for a minute as our friend signed autographs and received well-wishes from adoring fans. We agreed to meet up again later in the evening after the band recorded a few intros. Deciding that it would be convenient to meet up in the building rather than somewhere downtown we found the Stone Rose Lounge one flight down. It was the perfect place to meet up with our celebrity friend. Dimly lit, quiet and just intimidating enough to keep away any uninviteds. We ordered some food for everyone to nibble on and wine, (a wonderful German Reisling). After chatting and eating, and some light drinking we drove our friend home, a.k.a - the hotel. It was a rather late night, and we were gladly doing it all over again in less than 24 hours.

Monday night we went to see Satellite Party play a sold-out performance at the Highline Ballroom. We arrived a touch early so we stopped around the corner for a drink at Craftsteak where we enjoyed another wonderful Reisling. Reisling is definitely my new drink of choice. After a quick glass of my new fav we walked a few steps to Highline. Despite the typical loser attitude and difficult to understand english spoken by the worker confirming names on the guest list we were still able to get in with a few minutes to spare. We went upstairs, met up with some friends and ordered some drinks. A house glass of wine was undrinkable after the Reisling at Craftsteak. Even my husband's glass of domestic beer tasted better than this autrocity. But I digress, let me tell a little bit more the venue and the performance.

Monday was such a different atmosphere compared with the night before. We were looking down from the second floor lounge at a crowd of over 700 screaming fans as Satellite Party took the stage. The full set list was:

The crowd was rocking to every song, including the Jane's Addiction songs. Seeing them play in such opposite settings was incredible. The first night was a relaxed and personal show. The second night was a wild and rompous musical delight as the band fed off of the energy of sold-out crowd.

Satellite Party is now on tour in Europe for a month. Upon their return, they will begin their U.S. tour, which I'm certain will render one sold-out performance after another.

BTW Fashionista, if you weren't able to attend either of the above mentioned performances, were you able to catch Satellite Party on Howard Stern, or David Letterman? If you didn't, not to worry. I believe they will be on Carson Daly for 4 nights starting tonight, make sure to Tivo it if you're away from home.

Also, did you know that Ultra Payloaded is getting more and more difficult to locate? I tried to purchase the CD yesterday for a friend who's birthday is at the end of this month, and no such luck, it was sold-out. I guess I'll have to order it on-line. Get yours soon before you're left behind, something a real fashionista would never do.

DRESSES AND POSSIBLE CONTENDERS

So, I bought more than I thought that I would today, but that's okay. Actually, it's always okay. I bought 7 dresses today, (I also purchased 2 blouses and one Tommy Bahama cropped vest, but who cares? I'm here to talk about my new dressies). The most memorable being this POSITIVELY GORGEOUS RUNWAY Calvin Klein linen dress. I also snagged a Nicole Miller silk, a BCBG (cotton?) a Chetta B, a Kay Unger, another dress that I can't remember who designed, and a Ralph Lauren linen. (For those of you new to the world of fashion, a.k.a - boyfriend, husband, life partner, SO - BCBG and Ralph Lauren carry both petites and womens plus sizes). It's very very rare that I hit paydirt to this degree when I buy dresses, but guess what girls? CHA-CHING!!! PAYDIRT!!! Really, there was no way to say no to these dresses. It's been SEASONS since I've found dresses that are decent looking and pretty. By decent I mean not looking like something that you would buy at a swapmeet or at a discount mega-store. (Why are the majority of dresses following this swapmeety-cheap-look and feel while being priced at a minimum of $300?) Imagine my delight when I came upon dress after dress with classic styles and perfect lines. There was little that I could do from not falling on the floor, curling up in a ball and giggling uncontrollably like a mental patient from the sheer joy of finding these treasures. Now, imagine the look on my face when I discovered that these dresses looked as good on as they did hanging. To be honest, some even looked better once I slipped them on! That never happens!! So, all in all I purchased 7 dresses. Hubby was with me and approved of them all. Now, to pass the Mom test. I think this time I will finally pass. Stay Tuned. BTW, at least 4 of those dresses are contenders for tomorrow night's engagement and for Monday's concert. Thank you God.

WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO BE WED JUNE 6TH?

I know where I'll be bright and early on Wednesday, the Nordstrom half-yearly sale. Now, as you, my loyal readers all know, I'm not one of these girls that say, "Oh, I'll just wait until that goes on sale" for various reasons already noted in previous posts. Still, I'm somewhat excited about Wednesday's sale. For quite sometime now, I haven't been the world's biggest Nordstrom fan, even though I still shop there. Perhaps their buyers have changed, perhaps I've changed. I can't really put my finger on it, but in my opinion despite a few very select pieces Nordstrom seems to be carrying a selection of clothing in a quality that I am not at all fond of. Let me repeat, they still carry St. John, (which I wear and love) Hugo Boss, Faconabble and the like, but what seems to be designers with questionable fabric selections appear to predominate. Maybe it's just me. I'm sure those that like these cheap-o fabrics and makes would passionately disagree.

EARRINGS

One of my babies was sick yesterday, so Hubby and I decided not to go out on our usual Friday date, and since we stayed home, guess what I managed to do? Yep, that's right, I shopped. I was flipping through the channels when I came across QVC, they carry Joan Rivers award-winning jewelry. I ordered the, "today's special value" earrings on auto-delivery. I'll get two sets, one now and one in August. It's like you're getting all of those earrings for almost $3.00 each!! What a bargain! I hope they look as good in person as they did on TV last night. Oh, in August, the outer part will be sent to me in enamal and of course with different inserts. Hooray for Joan Rivers, I love her! I saw her perform in NYC last year, she was just fabulous!!!! I think they sold out of the earrings, and that is why I posted pics of the necklace, but the earrings that I purchased look just like the pendant.

My bills are paid, I have a substantial nest egg, investments, I donate regularly to those in need and now I feel like going to my happy place, Bergdorf's. The traffic will be less today, it's a perfect weather day, and besides why not go? It's not imperative that I stay by my computer all day. I do have a conference call later in the day, but it shouldn't be a problem taking that call on my cell. So off I go to bring Pursie home and visit with all her other pals at the greatest place on earth.

YSL PERFECT TOUCH RADIANT BRUSH FOUNDATION

I forgot that I didn't give my review of YSL's new Perfect Touch Radiant Brush Foundation. I've had it for several weeks, but only earlier this week did I decide to give it a whirl. My opinion? I'm not impressed. Here's why:

I thought that this new foundation would be similar to YSL's blush. No mess. It was rather messy. Also, I was under the impression that you just, "rolled" it over your face in the same fashion as a roll-on deodorant or used soft brush strokes to apply, never having to get the makeup on any other part of your body than your face. That wasn't the case. You have to squeeze the bottle then apply the foundation on to your hand and then apply it to your face as you normally would your regular foundation. So, you're still getting messy. I hate messy. I'm constantly in a hurry. I don't have time for messes. Additionaly, contrary to what the SA tried to tell me, it does feel heavy, not too too heavy but HEAVY, all-day-long. I don't like that feeling, like I'm walking around with clown's makeup on my face. Perhaps it would have felt even heavier if I would have applied a normal-sized amount. I applied it very conservatively, and yet I could literally feel it weighing on my skin all day . What an uncomfortable feeling indeed. I think I'll stick with my Erno Laszlo, thank you very much. Your blush and Touche Eclat can stay too YSL, just not your UNperfect Touch.

PRADA PRADA

I know, I don't need another anything, let alone shoes. But these cute little flip flops were just begging to come home with me. What was I supposed to do? I couldn't just leave them there unloved while I have the means of providing them with a loving and stable home. So, I bought them in both colors. I love Prada sandals, they are so comfortable. I have a few pair from last season that are staples in my summer wardrobe. I'm afraid that I can't say the same about their bags. I've just never been a Prada bag kind of gal. And the nylon Prada's? Oy, do they look like something that you would purchase in an ethnic section of a metropolis. Prada shoes on the other hand? Pure perfection.

I ORDERED MORE OF THE B1G1 TEES FROM TALBOTS

For the price, I really couldn't pass it up, so I bought two more tees. One in tarragon green (moss) and another in white. I didn't get the aqua because I have about 4 tees in that color and I didn't get that khaki - ish yellow color because that color is absolutely horrible for me. I figured what the heck, let's add another white tee to my white tee collection since they never stay as white as when first purchased. And I thought, "hmmmm, what other color don't I have 4 or 5 of, I think, (and I'm not sure - I could have more) I have about 2 moss green colored tees. Wow Talbots are you having a sale or what? The best part is, everyone can play this b1g1 game because all of these tees, (and I think in fact their clothing) are available in petites, misses and womens plus sizes. So, if you're in need of tees this season, I suggest you go to www.talbots.com quickly before they run out of stock at these prices. And, before I forget to tell you, I like the quality of these tees better than the Caslon tee that I purchased from Nordstrom late last week. If I were to cover up the tags, you would think that the Talbots tee is the Caslon Tee and the Caslon the Talbots. I was shocked at how cheap the Caslon tee looked when I compared the two side by side. It resembled a smaller version of a man's undershirt. I was disgusted. But enough of my ranting. I'm here to tell you that these tees are worth it in both price and quality. Oh, and for your fashionistas that don't care for v-necks they didn't forget you either! DKNY BLOUSE and UNWANTED CLOTHING

I admit that I didn't try this blouse on because I was just too lazy and there was a very long line at the register. Now, I'll have to pay for it, but not literally. I have to return what looked to be this fabulous little DKNY blouse, (red and white) and I loathe making returns. If my husband won't return something for me or forgets to return something for me, I just keep it stashed away in the forgotten part of one of my closets. I have literally bags filled with new clothes that have only been tried on for less than 10 seconds. This one will hopefully not end up in one of those many bags. Hopefully it'll get returned. I was thinking about maybe featuring some of those little pretties here on fashion plus jewelry. What are your thoughts? Of course, I wouldn't price anything as if I were some designer boutique or retail store. And believe me, do I have quite a few things that are becoming claustrophobic in those dark plastic lawn and leaf bags.

I purchased two tees yesterday at talbots, they were on sale b1g1 free. Who knew? I also bought this awesome silver bracelet, it is chunky and wonderful. I can't wait to wear it. In addition, I ordered an urban outfitters tee for hubby the, "fight me I'm Irish" tee, also on sale. I think that I may take a look at the UO website for some tees for me today as well. And, if I can save at least one person from making the same mistake as I then sharing the following with you is well worth making my blood pressure rise. Do you know how many AA miles I have lost over the last few weeks for not purchasing my NM and Bergdorf merchandise through AA? Hundreds? No, try thousands of miles. I could just kick myself for being such an idiot. I already have quite a high amount of miles, or points or whatever you want to call it because I can't sit in coach for long haul flights, so we purchase full-fare first class tickets for those flights. So, in other words what I'm trying to say is that I have the points, or the miles or whatever term AA wants to attach to their rewards system, that qualify for upgrades and such. Uggggggggghhhhh! I'm an idiot.

Hey fashionistas! I'm baaaaaaaack! Sorry I've been sort of missing in action. I've been extremely busy this week, and unexpectedly so if I may add. But, of course, despite all of the mayhem I did somehow manage to sneak off to do some shopping. Not too much out there right now, however I did buy just a few things. J.Jill blue summer dress - simple and romatic very, "beachy"

Monet jeweled bracelet - I love this bracelet, I didn't get the matching earrings because I thought the necklace was just too colorful.

Monet silver bracelet - VERY David Yurman

Lauren Ralph Lauren navy blouse - I know I know more navy, but I had to get this one! I saw this piece a few weeks ago but at the time I was purchasing a few things at Nordstrom and didn't want to pay almost $200 for one blouse that didn't have a coordinating bottom. When I went to Nordie's the other day this fabulous blouse was marked down, it was kismit I tell you.

Caslon white v-neck tee. You always need more white tees to add to your ever growing white tee collection don't you? After a few washes those white tees despite being bleached never look quite as white as the first time.

After the gardener arrives, (that's if he does) I will try to head out to my place of worship, the mall. The SA told me that they're selling out on that little blue dress - fast. Update on dress, as I'm just editing this post - the dress pictured is on back order. I was going to order the fandango dress, (the one in brown) but I wasn't crazy about the color. Good thing because the fandango is on back order too! I love dresses, they're so easy to slip into and head out the door.

BROOKS BROTHERS 25% OFF COUPON

I forgot to mention to everyone that I received the Brooks Brothers 25% off coupon early last week. I probably didn't mention it because I'm not all that excited about this coupie. First of all let me make clear that I absolutely love Brooks Brothers. For my birthday last year my brother took me shopping and he spent about $2,000 on my hearts content. It sounds like I purchased a great deal of clothing with that money, but I really didn't if you're familiar with Brooks Brothers pricing, and when one sweater costs $225.00 that $2,000 doesn't go very far. But I digress, I'm not excited about this 25% off coupon because I'm never excited about their spring collection. I don't know why there is such a large fashion disparity between the fall/winter collection and the spring/summer collection. Are there different designers for spring/summer? Or is it that one is just, (in my opinion) better dressed in the fall/winter than in spring/summer? Let's assume that's the case, why aren't there cute and inspiring dresses available from Brooks for the season? Or at least one cute blouse or TDF skirt? It's such a shame really what seems to be the lack of creative elegance that the spring/summer line is missing. I want to emphasis again that I love Brooks Brothers and I'll probably go there sometime tomorrow to see if there is anything worth that 25% off coupon, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Now, if this were the fall, that would be a different story completely. Hey Brooks Brothers, do you need help coming up with some creative yet classic solutions for your uninspiring spring/summer line? Have your people call my people. Ciao!

And BTW, disappointment again. Rats! I tried on the theory dresses from Thursday's post and guess what? They fit and are in fact quiet flattering, but what I don't like is the slip that they have to go under the dress. I don't like wearing slips at all. So, unfortunately I didn't purchase either of them. It seems to be DH's lucky weekend! I really didn't spend much at all. So far I've crossed the Nicole Miller off of my list, and now both theories. I have a strong suspicion that the little casual dresses that I put on my Mother's Day list are going to fit just fine. I mean what were they, about $150 - $155 each? Those will probably be the winners. I guess DH's Louis wallet will thank me. I swear that thing looks like a check book rather than a wallet. Happy now Louis wallet? I didn't get any of the dresses that I really longed for.

What did I get for Mother's Day besides those dresses? The usual. Perfume (Chanel chance) jewelry, candles. I don't need much, afterall I go shopping everyday in every way shape and form possible. DH was surprised that there were still pieces left from this season that I wanted. To quote him, "I thought you wiped them out already" I'm sorry I take offense at that. "I thought you wiped them out already" Them who?

Notice that I am not offended that my husband has implied that I am a shopping junkie in need of a 90-day recovery program.

Okay, so I went to Nordstrom today, and I left very disappointed. I had a chance to see the Nicole Miller dress up close and personal. And can I tell you, no? I didn't like the neck area/vneck area. It had a gold overlay type of foil ribbon around that entire area, that made it look like I bought this dress in some flea market in Mubai. Not the look that I'm going for when I spend $400 on one dress. Had it not had the gold, "stuff" around it, I would have definitely bought it. Afterall, I was there on the orders of DH who told me to go see if I could buy my dresses in person rather than online. Oh well. I guess it's DH's lucky day. No Nicole Miller for me. (Sad pouty face here) I've seen the theory dress before, so I know how that looks. I'm just crossing my fingers that it, (well they because I'm getting both colors) will fit. The other three dresses? Well, if they don't fit, that's okay. I have literally TONS of casual dresses that are rather similar to those pictured in the last post anyway. So, I know you're dying to know what I bought today. I bought a pair ofLiz Claiborne lightweight striped pants that coordinate with the lightweight striped blazer that I purchased last week. Hooray for me!! I didn't have to return the blazer! I found the pants in my commonly sold-out size!!!! Yet another little sporty casual set that is sooooooooo cute!!! I'm sorry, but terry cloth sweatsuits are for the gym or for lounging around at home. With this latest outfit, I have the comfort level of a sweatsuit without looking sloppy. I don't understand what the obsession is with these God-awful sweatsuits. Do you? Well DH is home now, off we go on our date. Oh, and, thanks anyway for telling me to go get the Nicole Miller. It COULD'VE been cute. Oh well.

Who in their right mind would give up a Saks coupon? And especially on that clothing-obsessed board. Oh yeah you're going to Saks this weekend. Big deal, so is every other girl and gay man within 100 miles of a Saks. What do you want, photographers at the ready because you're finally going to know the inside of a SFA? Give me a break. You want a coupon for Saks? It's called get the SFA credit card and/or shop there frequently.

Meow, if I might say so myself. It was an unseasonably hot day today, and since I had a conference to attend I decided to wear the Kay Unger suit that I purchased yesterday with the Chanel wedges that I purchased on Saturday. For accessories I wore my Ralph Lauren chunky and big necklace of white stones, along with white dangle earrings and a coordinating white bracelet. Bag was my navy oversized Gucci tote. Besides looking 3 dress sizes smaller today and fabulous, I also ordered the above dress. I think it's cute, but let's see what it looks like when I try it on. Some dresses weren't made for gals who's figures don't resemble that of a young boy. Hello dressmakers, some of us have actual curves! And your dresses are made for women who are nearly flat-chested and who's waist and hips measure the same width. Want to become the designer of the century? Here's a little help, some of us have boobs, some of us have hips, some of us have both. Of course there are those that don't have either. Frankly, if you like to design clothing for that body type, then please stick to either designing for men or school girls. Want your dresses to sell out on pre-order? Then design like you were actually designing for a fully developed female. Don't want your dress to end up on clearance or on Last Call? Stop with the mid-calf lengths, stop having every nine dresses out of ten resemble a camisole, (do you know what happens when someone who is larger than or equal to a C cup wears a sleeveless dress?) and please design dresses in something other than rayon or polyester, I feel like I should be shopping at a discount department store with the fabric of some of these dresses, but for un-discounted prices. If I'm paying $400 or more for a dress it better not be made of any RAYON or POLYESTER. There have been many a dress that I have put back on the rack due to fabric content, and I'm certain that I'm not the only one who's been disappointed by cheap fabric choices. Like I said, I would expect these fabrics to predominate in a budget store, but not in high-end dept. stores such as the one's that I shop. The above dress? I don't know anything about the fabric. It doesn't have that slightly important detail listed on the NM site. I have a strong feeling that this is going to be one of those polyester dresses a-la Diane von Furstenberg. By the way, DVF what's up with all of that nasty polyester that you use? A. It's EXTRAORDINARILY cheap looking B. It's isn't flattering C. It's very poor quality D. It makes your design house seem as if you manufacture in some seedy sweat_ _ _ _. I can't even say the word. Thank goodness, that's not the case. So why not stop with all the Qmart quality fabric?

I hope everything fits, because I didn't bother to try anything on last Friday when I presaled. I'm sure everything good has already been presold, but I'm crossing my fingers that tomorrow I come across some unexpected and delightful additional finds!!! Who else is going to Neiman's tomorrow? I"ll be the one standing outside the front door waiting for my watch to read 10am so that I could be the first one upstairs. It's every girl for herself tomorrow. TO THE HBO COMMENTATORS AND FREDDIE ROACH

You are all a disgrace. Let's start off with that so-called trainer, Freddie Roach.

Aren't you supposed to advise Oscar on what he's doing wrong in the ring, what he's doing right, what he should be doing, what he needs to avoid doing, and what would be the BEST course of action in the next round? In other words, aren't you supposed to tell him the truth about what's going on in the ring?

Not, tell him that he's doing, "great" when the man's punches are inflicting as much damage to his opponent as a clawless cat's futile attempt to climb silk drapes. Also, why in the name of, "everything that is holy in boxing" to quote the always hilarious Larry Merchant, did you remain silent 99% of the time when Oscar would go back to his/your corner rather than tell him exactly what was going through your mind? Why didn't you tell poor and understandably trusting, because after all you ARE HIS TRAINER, Oscar that he was getting the life beat out of him by the few yet precise and VICIOUS blows he was receiving to the head, from a WELL-ADVISED Mayweather? Guess what? YOU ARE HIS TRAINER. YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO TELL HIM WHAT YOU SEE HAPPENING. YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO TELL HIM THE TRUTH. THAT IS WHAT THE MAN PAYS YOU FOR. He does not have you there to shut your mouth like a MUTE, during one of the most important matches of his life. He does not have you there to give him the wrong advice. To quote Freddie Roach, "Keep doubling up on that jab. Keep doubling up on that jab" Are you bloody kidding me? Keep doubling up on that jab? The man has nothing left in him! He's swinging into the air half of the time like a GIRL and you don't see that? Why would you tell him to exhaust himself even more by throwing jabs rather than to tell him to block and move until he AT LEAST regains a little bit of energy in a round or two? You were sending him to career suicide by not being honest. Now, I'm not a millionaire with paid workers and staff who might enjoy, and is perhaps accustomed to hearing people say what they want to hear all of the time, or laugh at my not too funny jokes, or agreeing with me when its clear that I should be disagreed with, but trust me - yesterday's match was NOT one of those ha-ha-ha, I'm just laughing right now at your unfunny joke because you sign my paycheck moments. What do you think Oscar REALLY thinks of you today? Forget about what he told you after the fight about being the world's best trainer and yesterday's match and subsequent decision just being, "the breaks". Those were just the pleasantries of his outside thoughts. He thinks you are just like everyone else standing there with their hands out looking to suck money out of him like a leach sucks blood out of its prey. You don't give a HOOT about him or his career. You just want to laugh at his not funny jokes and get paid. Was the analysis of, "you're doing great" that you gave Oscar yesterday when he couldn't even catch his breath, more a force of habit, or do you just really not give a rats behind about this man, YOUR BOSS, or his career? Or was that insulting comment a way for you to hide your inability as a trainer? Why wasn't Mayweather out of breath by the fourth round as Oscar was? Why was Mayweather laughing in Oscar's FACE when he would deliver one of those unpainful jabs you wanted him to, "double up" on? Why? Because his trainer advised him properly. Because his trainer was honest with him about how to win that fight and was honest with him about his strengths against his opponent. His trainer told him EXACTLY what to do when that bell would ring at the end of each round. His trainer give him an honest analysis about the previous round. Not you. When it wasn't dead silence in that corner, you were telling Oscar outright lies about his performance, words like, "great" and advice like, "keep doubling up on that jab" are words I'm POSITIVE would not have come out of the mouth of the Mayweather trainer had the shoe been on the other foot. Now, I'm all about encouragement. But there is a fine line as to where encouragement ends, and sending someone to into battle with just a wing and a prayer begins. And that's exactly what you did yesterday. You are not a friend. You are not a trainer. You are nothing. How hurt must Oscar feel today by your complete disregard and betrayal not only as his trainer, but as a friend? How does it make you fell to know that YOU are the reason that man lost the fight. YOU are the reason he lost his title last night. YOU are the reason Mayweather was laughing in Oscar's face last night. If Oscar fires you as his trainer after he reviews last night's fight, you only have yourself to blame. Now, on the HBO commentators.

Tell me, what is your job description? Is it to comment on boxing matches and everthing that involves it? Why weren't you commenting on the bad advice from Oscar's trainer? Did you all go to the ladies room together like a group of girls when the bell would sound? Or were you just as shocked as the rest of us at Roach's behavior? Either answer is unacceptable. Powder your noses before the match begins and reserve your shyness for first-dates like the rest of us. And open your mouths like you are paid to and try just try to COMMENT as if you were a COMMENTATOR about the massacre that Roach was sending Oscar into. What happened yesterday? Did they run out of Tanqueray last night in Vegas Larry? Is that why you didn't say what you were thinking, what everyone was thinking? Is that why you were censored? You I forgive.

And what about you Jim Lampley you seem to have somewhat of a short-temper, why did you not rip into Freddie Roach in classic Lampley style? You seem to have little tolerance for nonsense of any kind, (which incidentally is the reason why I'm your #1 fan), why the HELL did you remain silent on Roach throughout the entire match? What happened to your tell-it-like-it-is commentary that is so refreshing today? Did someone not like your brand of honesty? Were you given orders to, "tone it down a bit"? Or did the house doctor recently begin prescribing Prozak for you on the orders of the suits upstairs? I hope that your answer is the latter and that you went down frothing at the mouth before they injected you with that liquid zombie juice. Any other reason is unacceptable and if I were you, I would hold myself personally responsible for not getting into that ring and saving Oscar by pushing Roach to the side and telling him EXACTLY, NO HOLDS BARRED, brother to brother that what Roach was saying was bologna. If you weren't on some form of mood-altering drug Jim, there is no excuse acceptable for you either. Allow me to be even more frank (if you're med-free that is): Peter Parker = Spider Man, Bruce Banner = The Incredible Hulk, Jim Lampley = Freddie Roach. And now to the world's premier boxing trainer, manager and commentator.

Let me tell you something Buddy. Take the above sentence off of your resume. It makes you look poorly, when you can't comment as a, "world's premiere" trainer/commentator on your peers lack of skills. It makes you look like you agree with his brand of disturbing advice. It makes you look like an amateur broadcaster and trainer. It makes it look like Lennox Lewis, Sugar Ray Leonard, Evander Holyfield, Leon Spinks and our favorite boxer from last night had you on board because of pity. Why pity? Because you must be blind or have some other form of disability not to have spoken up honestly last night against the lies that Roach was telling his boss. Or did you too think Oscar was doing, "great" when Mayweather struck that world-class blow above Oscar's left ear? I take your silence to mean that you agreed with Roach's lackadaisical advice to, "keep up that jab" when Oscar could barely lift his arms. Since you did remain silent, you are an accomplice to last night's fiasco. You Mr. Steward are no premier boxing trainer.

There is also another possibility. Maybe we were all duped last night, and this was all just part of the big picture and everyone that I have just named were actually co-conspirators in ensuring De La Hoya vs. Mayweather II.

Can you say paydirt?!?! I don't know how, but I hit paydirt today!!! Typically this is what happens: I find shoes, or a dress, or what have you and because said item is SOOOOOOOO CUTE, my very popular size is sold out. Not today though!!! I found a pair of Chanel navy summer wedges, a pair of Gucci suede brown boots, a pari of Dior wedges with the letter, "D" as part of the strap on one foot and, "C" on the other, a pair of Giussipi jeweled flip flops (I'm sure I spelled that name incorrectly) a St. John CUTE cropped blue twinset, a Ralph Lauren silk navy blouse with white dots, a RL green and white sleeveless fitted blouse, a RL striped blazer, a Chicos C--U-T-E long travelers button down top in red and black, and a cascading cardigan and matching shell. I know that I am leaving out something from RL, but I can't think of what it is for the life of me. I also bought a pair of earrings at Brooks Brothers. With shoes, I always leave disappointed. It always seems that pair of shoes that I want, only remain in an 11AA. What a miracle that all of the shoes that I tried on fit!! That never happens. I can't wait to wear my new summer shoes!

NEIMANS RETURNS AND PRE SALE

I got my Neimans package today. Only two things fit! Not only that, exactly half of the pieces I didn't even bother to try on, because I could see through the plastic bags that they were hideous. Grrrr. But, thankfully I walked into the Neimans pre-sale and put a few things on presale for pick up this Tuesday. I got a DKNY pantsuit, an Ellen Tracy casual pantsuit and blouse, an Anne Klein blazer, a Chetta B summer skirt with blazer, a St. John twinset (they didn't have the pants in my size, just a size 2) and I think one or two more things, but I'm not sure. I'm most excited about the DKNY suit and the Chetta B. I'm not too sure about how the Chetta will look, we'll just have to see. I'm hoping that I will be able to find the pants that coordinate with that St. John's twinset. I hate not having a full set.

Lately I feel like there are not enough hours in the day for everything that needs to get done. Does anyone else feel like that?

I went to the mall today (yesterday by the time this posts) and got a Lucky Brand multi - charm necklace, matching earrings and matching wide bangle bracelet. I also bought a pair of Ralph Lauren Chandelier earrings to go with the necklace that I purchased a few weeks ago, I like this pair of RL earrings even better than the last pair. I did see a brown necklace at Nordstrom that I liked that also had matching earrings and a bracelet, but for some reason I passed on it. I'm thinking I want to go back and purchase it tomorrow. I may be traveling to Chicago next week, so I would like to have my wardrobe and jewelry in order. Anybody want to recommend some good malls in the Chicago area??

Unfortunately, I have not received my Neiman's package. The Neiman's operator had promised me that it was going to arrive no later than today (5/3/07). So where is my package Neiman's??? What about your promise? This is highly inconvenient, I should start charging a daily interest and late fee.

I'm also going to try to stop in at Neiman's tomorrow. YSL has introduced a new sponge applicator foundation, that I am just dying to try! I already use their blush, (if you've read my other post about this) and it is a lifesaver!!! No more rummaging for my blush brush, no more tardy mornings. I'll be sure to let you know over the weekend what I think about this new YSL foundation. I hope it's as good as I dream it is.

What are your plans for tonight? It's Friday, so hubby and I are going out for dinner and drinks. Just the two of us. Last weekend we met up with some friends for drinks, so we really didn't have our usual Friday night date. That's okay, we had a very entertaining time anyway. Hubby's picture is now on the www thanks to some beer girls.
